This is a rather typical scene when you go to the beach in Italy. Sardinians, in particular, are "gente di mare" (people of the sea) and it is not unusual to see elderly people walking back and forth in the sea; a good exercise and an opportunity to converse with a friend away from the bustle of the beach. I took a few snapshots and this one was interesting since there was something very regal in the juxtaposition of their perfect profiles.
