The calm in Scandinavia`s endless wilderness is something that can best be witnessed if you wait for the late evening hours and let the pace and quiet of its beautiful nature take over. In the summer of 2021 we took a hike through Swedish Tyresta National Park. We started late that day and took our time until dusk to walk back to the visitor center. On our way back we walked past one of the countless lakes in this region and noticed how calm it was. The silence was somewhat eerie - you could only hear yourself breathe. And the water was absolutely still with the countless water striders causing the only disruption on the lake`s surface. This experience was something special - mother nature gives us the perfect remedy to balance our often hectic and stressful lifestyles. Taking some time for a little pause every now and then to experience the beauty that surrounds us is as rewarding as it can get.
