Eagle Huntress

Miss Zamanbol who is one of female eagle hunters in Bayan-Ölgii, which is located in the Altai Mountains of western Mongolian. She was born from a Kazakh Eagle Hunters Family. She had learned ancient practice of hunting with golden eagles since she was very young although she is a high school graduate.She is the first girl to compete in the annual eagle hunting competition and she won the first time she competed. The hunting provides very little in the way of food for human consumption, but it is a tradition dating back 4,000 years and the fur hats and the eagles themselves are a matter of great pride amongst Kazakhs.
