This photo was taken from 30000 feet above land on an airplane as it flew over Russia near siberia. It shows the interesting topography of our earth surface. I travel often between New York and Beijing. On the long flight what often fascinates me is the view under but this was this particular time the view was made particularly stunning as a result of dark light. I guessed there were rivers covered with ice and mountains with snow.
