Eastern Bluebird on high alert in a berry tree - Meadowlark Gardens, Vienna, VA Walking the grounds of Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, VA, one will see Eastern Bluebirds everywhere. They are small, alert, and fast, flitting from branch to branch in a blur. But on this rare occasion, I came across one willing to sit for me, bathed in setting sunlight, among the contrasting colors of a red berry tree. I couldn't believe my luck. I was so excited I continued to shoot for the 10-15 minutes he remained in the tree, taking shots from different angles, with different lighting, even with some of his friends from time to time. It was a memorable experience for sure.
