We were hiking in the mountains of Virginia with our 2 year old son, when he suddenly called out, "LOOK!" as he pointed to the box turtle scurrying along some rocks. He had never seen a turtle before, and as I watched this one, I thought about what a fascinating thing it must look like to his new eyes. As I took the shot, I tried to view it as one seeing it for the first time as well.
