My children and I went for a walk on a crisp fall afternoon in October to Seal Point Park in San Mateo, Ca, to the top of a hill overlooking the Bay Area where echo plates are installed. My 1 1/2 year old daughter Molly was especially happy to shout newly formed words into her own personal echo chamber while her brother flew a kite nearby.
