heard the sound of these kids from a far distance before I can see them. They rowed all the way from the opposite island with this small wooden boat. They are from the Sea Gypsies, the correct term of their community is ‘Bajau Laut’.Despite the hardship and the struggles they have to endure, the Bajau Laut are definitely an exciting community to study and their stories are undeniably motivating. Their expression & learning from their community gave me a deep memory in this journey.
