Elegant Rising from Water with Fish
Perhaps as many as a hundred terns were flying to and from an abandoned pier. Often, the terns flew down onto the water, and were clearly not fishing, but rather seemed to be bathing or even playing in the water. Here, we see a tern that behaved in this way, and is now preparing to fly back up off the water surface.
