Elephant crossing

The parks in Africa are surrounded by farmlands. There is a constant conflict between the animals, farmers and environmentalists. The parks are fenced but Elephants have figured out that damaging the electric poles make them safe to cross.

The bottom frame shows an elephant crossing over a fence and entering the park. The Big Life Foundation co-founded by photographer Nick Brandt is very active in Amboseli and have stemmed the severe decline in elephant population by taking measures against poaching and also dealing with this human-animal conflict.
