It was indeed a very rare sighting when we saw this huge lonely elephant on the top of the rocky hill, while on a safari at Yala in SriLanka. Locals told us that they have not seen something like this over the last 10 plus years they have been on safari. The elephant slowly moved all along the hill top taking an hour or so before it faded away to the other side.
