My travel group in India had a long day of sightseeing with the last event being an elephant ride. We got off the bus and I saw this elephant and rider coming down the rode, with the cow and the garbage in the background. For me, the whole scene was perfectly India - it captured the pace of life, the ancient ways of doing things, along with the starving cow rummaging in the ever-present garbage on the road.
