I traveled from Mombasa to Amboseli with the main objective of seeing elephants at the base of Kilimanjaro. The morning was misty, and the summit was cloud covered. I was worried that my journey had been for naught. Then suddenly the wind shifted and the summit appeared! It was a perfect glorious moment, and just as swiftly as it appeared, it vanished.
