Elephants + Phanets
In Nepal, each elephant has three handlers. The lead handler is known as the phanet (fawn-it) and is . On this day in Chitwan National Park, the other handlers finished bathing the elephants and the phanets took to their back to walk them home from the river before the imminent monsoon rains fell.
