This toad came up for air on an early evening in late spring. I was on a quest to find natural beauty in a surrounding urban landscape and discovered a pond with several toads. I was able to quickly capture him/her and the ambient scene once the other visitors to the pond left. To me, s/he represents the inscrutable aspect of nature and reflects its awesome quality.
