This picture was taken on Vijaya Dashami of Durga Puja. The devotees look up to the idol of Goddess Durga as it is being brought out from the mandapa and is placed out on the lawn for the devotees to do a ritual called 'Devi Baran'. Devotees would apply 'sindoor' to the idol followed by playing amongst themselves with colors. The idol is immersed in the water later that day which marks the end of Durga Puja. The picture captures the emotion of the devotees as the 15ft idol is being lifted up.
