I took this picture on my first ever summer Route with my scouts group, back in 2021. We were on the Italian alps in the region of Lombardy, close to the border with Switzerland. It was the first day of the route, and it was extremely cold and it had rained and been gloomy the whole day, despite it being early August, so when the sky cleared from the grey clouds and revealed this beautiful mid-afternoon light, I took the opportunity to snap this picture. The subject of the picture was my group leader, with the bright orange backpack cover mounted in order to protect it from the rain.
