Enjoying the View from Matthes Crest
The view is of my climbing partner enjoying the view to the West on Matthes Crest in the Yosemite High Country. Matthes Crest is a dramatic fin of rock with two summits (North and South) separated by a deep notch. It is named for Francois Matthes and was climbed in 1931 by legendary Sierra climbers Jules Eichorn, Glen Dawson and Walter Brem.
