Lake Cildir in Kars Region Turkey When winter comes and snow falls, the lake freezes due to low temperatures, sometimes even -40 degrees Celsius, and its very thick and strong ice layer enables people travelling by horse sleighs. During the sunset times, when the clouds step aside, the lake and the sleighs offer a vision like a fairy tale.
