Portal to Colonial Past - Cebu is the oldest city in the Philippines. Fuerte de San Pedro is a military defense structure built by the Spanish under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi, the first governor of the Captaincy General of the Philippines. The Philippines has been a Spanish Colony for almost 3 centuries, an experience that has deeply influenced the Filipino psyche, here students are entering the the gate of the old fort as if a time portal that will deliver them to the country's historic past.
