Epic View

As you scramble up the rocks to Garnet Peak you are greeted with a view of the massive Anza-Boreggo Desert. The light coming through the clouds allowed you to see the true colors of the mountainside and desert below. We had no idea what the view would be like on this hike off the Pacific Crest Trail in the Laguna Mountains of San Diego County. When we reached the top of Garnet Peak, elevation 5,900 feet I was taking pictures of the breathtaking view, the clouds, the colors leading to the desert floor when I turned and saw my boyfriend doing the same. I snapped this photo with my iPhone before he quickly climbed to another rock...and then moved onto other scenery shots. It wasn't until the drive home when I noticed this picture - I think the best of the bunch.
