ERUPTION VIII

Mount Etna, 2025. Above 3000 meters, during eruptive activity. Part of ''ERUPTION'' a photographic account of the unprecedented tourist frenzy that stormed Mount Etna - Europe's tallest active volcano - during its latest eruption. To see one of Nature's most primordial and powerful expressions swarmed by people - including children - at the hight of mighty volcanic activity was at once disturbing and moving. It showed both the human illusion to own nature as well as the human longing to get in intimate contact with it. It showed also Nature's majestic indifference to the human fate and its ability to feed us a deeper understanding of our lives on Earth.
