The photo I chose was from a recent trip to Ethiopia. The photo consists of an Ethiopian village with a herder featured. The major environmental issues facing Ethiopia include deforestation, soil erosion and depletion of nutrients in the soil which, in parts of the northern highlands, are leading to a worrying increase in desertification which makes herding that much harder.
