18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Evening at Mono Lake
This is the South Tufa area of Mono Lake. I have been photographing around Mono Lake for several years using both monochrome and color. I liked the foreground detail, the curve of the shoreline leading to the tufa towers, and the sky above.
