The lagoons at Humboldt Park are home to many species of bird. I love the silhouette of the heron stalking the weeds for fish backdropped against the field lights of the baseball diamonds. The coexistence of nature and humanity seems like a very American goal to me and something to be proud of when it is accomplished.
