This Douglas fir stands out in the aspen forest near Kebler Pass in Colorado. I love walking off into the forest and looking to see what I find. In autumn, just about any forest offers treasures for those that seek them. I was trying to find a similar tree I had photographed years before, but was very pleased to find this one. The leaves of the aspens and ferns had changed and some aspen leaves where in the boughs of the conifer decorating it like ornaments.
