Every Drop Matters

During the California drought, a truck ran over a fire hydrant in Piedmont, sending a plume of precious water high into the air, down the street, into the storm drains, and ultimately the ocean. Every second and every drop mattered as firefighters arrived to stop the flow by turning a valve beneath the street. First, they had to find it.
