Twin Lakes, located in Mount Hood, Oregon, is a beautiful hike and is an even more breathtaking hike in the winter. When me and my partner reached the first lake, Lower Lake, we were surprised by another group of hikers feeding the birds and how confident the birds were. They handed us a bag of seeds and we proceeded having fun feeding the birds from our hands and even our heads! As a hiker there are some hikes that you forget about and then there are hikes where something completely astonishing happens, creating an unforgettable experience; this was one of them. The sun was shining, there was a soft snow falling, and to top it off, the greeting we received from the surrounding wildlife.
