Here at the dilapidated Greenwood cemetery in New Orleans, graves date back to the early 19th century. The post in the bottom right resembles a bystander viewing the scene: among the crumbling stonework and aging streets which disappear into the distance, the flowers are a reminder of the memories left with the dead. This graveyard is a place of closure in the world, and not beginnings, emphasized by the road sign which says "exit only."
