I took this photo standing on a pedestrian bridge above Fish Creek, in Fish Creek Provincial Park, Calgary, Alberta. My two boys, aged 9 and 6, are walking on the frozen surface and trying to break the ice over the shallow creek. Due to a recent cold spell, the ice was thick enough for them to walk on, even in the middle of the creek.
