This photo is of my two children pausing in the shade of a sandstone structure at the UNESCO site of Petra, Jordan. It was a hot day of hiking, so we escaped the main thoroughfare and stopped here for a break. They sorted rocks and used the deep rose-colored sand as 'make-up.'
