Exploring the hidden Cape Clear Island, Ireland

This photo was taken at Cape Clear, Ireland, which is the southernmost inhabited Gaeltacht (or Irish speaking) island in Ireland. It was my first ever trip outside of the United States and also my first trip to a non-English speaking area. I am not Irish nor do I speak Irish, but upon seeing images online, I decided to trek to Cape Clear anyway. It was a rare sunny day and the few inhabitants were out to celebrate it. The slow, friendly, gentle environment was new and a breath of fresh air--I left feeling relaxed for the first time in years.
