Extinction

This image accentuates the life cycle of a Peony flower as the central bud gives way to its shriveled petals around it. It metaphorically speaks of a disrobed king as it no longer takes centre stage but still vibrantly holds on to its velvet like petals with the crown of stamens standing strong within.
