I found this hidden volcanic lake in Sao Miguel, “the green island” of Azores archipelago: the whole region has been carved by a strong and recent volcanic activity, that created the landscape. From the sky, this lagoon looked to me like the eye of Mother Nature, shaped by trees and the pink algae in the water. An eye that emerges to observe what we are doing of the planet, our planet.
