I had the opportunity to photograph brown bears, again, this year during the first sockeye salmon run in Katmai National Park, Alaska. The bears run frantically through the frigid waters of the Brooks River, chasing the approaching salmon that are hoping to make the jump up and over the falls. Ducking and diving, you never know where they are going to end their chase. On this occasion, I was fortunate that this pursuit ended right in front of me, as I came face to face with this large beauty.
