Fading Light on West Thumb Geyser Basin

After the summer sun sets on Yellowstone Lake, and the promenading people exit the boardwalks of West Thumb Geyser Basin, quiet falls, and sometimes the elk wander between thermal pools. Everything is silent accept for the guttering of little geysers. The retreating rays color the evening and reflect upon the liquid mirror that flows up from it's magma heated chambers. This is life living in a super volcano.
