In March of 2021 a volcano began to erupt in Iceland. Almost as soon as it began to erupt my wife and I began to make plans to go see it as we've always wanted to see an erupting volcano in person. In July, the volcano was still erupting but began to show intermittent activity. The several times we hiked out to the volcano we were able see the eruptions.
