A swarm of gnats are usually the annoying indicator of the last bit of heat and sunshine while outdoors. With the sunsetting behind the swarm at the edge of my usual hiking trail, they looked like bright, golden fairies dancing in the sunlight. Smaller, fast moving subjects are usually hard to capture, but with the backdrop of the sun fading behind them, these gnats all glowed. It goes to show you that everything is beautiful in its own way.
