Fairy Chimneys at Çavuşin, Nevşehir, Turkiye

Turkey's Cappadocia region is well-known for a number of reasons, including its ancient history and inhabitants, its modern-day balloon rides, its resemblance to Tatooine, and its unique geological features, as pictured here. These tall spires are called "fairy chimneys" and on top of them are basalt boulders. In the background are rooms and pigeon coups carved into the soft rock wall.
