This picture is from Dashashwamedha Ghat in Benaras, India. Benaras is probably the oldest inhabited city in the world and is known for its significance in the Hindu Religion. It is said that you attain 'moksha' or salvation if you die in Benaras. This was my first visit here. And the picture captures what Benaras felt like. The Ganga Aarti, every evening, saw swarms of people coming together at one place. Binded by their hope and grief. Heading towards a common truth.
