Sunlight illuminates the dome of the marble aedicule protecting the traditional tomb of Jesus within the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (originally built in AD 330) in Jerusalem. The faithful walk around the aedicule, or sit and pray. Several major Christian religions share responsibility for administering and maintaining the church and the tomb site within it.
