Fallen Leaves on Failing Tracks
These tracks were once used for transporting logs and lumber by a large Weyerhaeuser sawmill near Snoqualmie, Washington. Abandoned years ago, their once lively and noisy history lies silent beneath their decoration of autumn leaves. It evokes a sense of the natural world, train travel, and The American Experience as the era of large mills and the men who worked them in the Pacific NW seems to be past.
