20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Falling of Season
While hiking in the Wichita mountains of Oklahoma, we came across this beautiful tree. I was awestruck by the beautiful colored leaves that were still hanging on, all while the other branches were almost bare. The gray skies seemed to give it more emotion and power.
