Fallow deer in the mist

This image is of an adult female Fallow deer (Dama dama), taken in the early morning in autumn. Fallow deer were introduced into England after the Norman conquest and this herd consists of about 100 animals. I have been watching and photographing them for about ten years. I usually go out early in the morning when the light is good and at this time of year you also get the autumn colours.
