False Sense of Permanence

This image was created using Chlorophyll Process. The chlorophyll process is an organic alternative photography process akin to the anthotype process. However, instead of printing on the crushed extract of fruit or plant matter, the prints are bleached by sunlight directly onto the surface of leaves using a positive. The image is of one of my art students located in Cleveland, Ohio. The stark look and emotive expression is symbolic of the tragedy that befell one of her peers Tamir Rice years after the shooting. This series is to capture the notion of nature vs. nurture and artist sustainability using alternative photo processing
