Seated on carpets and wrapped in the vibrant colors of traditional Uzbek attire, these women – all from the same household under one roof – not only prepare and share the evening meal of soups, rice, vegetables, and sweets, but also safeguard and pass on a ritual that binds generations. Today, their role also embraces modernity: the daily act of nourishing becomes dialogue, community, and change, weaving together tradition with a search for the future that remains deeply rooted in their origins.
