Family House

13/3/2025 Khiva Uzbekistan Family house Every evening during Ramadan, at sunset, Iftar brings families together to break the fast. Seated on carpets and wrapped in the vibrant colors of traditional Uzbek attire, these women – all from the same household under one roof – not only prepare and share the evening meal of soups, rice, vegetables, and sweets, but also safeguard and pass on a ritual that binds generations. Today, their role also embraces modernity: the daily act of nourishing becomes dialogue, community, and change, weaving together tradition with a search for the future that remains deeply rooted in their origins.
