This is a 1st variation of photos taken in relatively quick succession. These shots were prompted initially by a glance out the window and an awareness of International Observe the Moon Night. I noticed a distant moon and a tumult of clouds. Seeing the moon prompts thoughts about distance and perspective, of point of view. Each of us sees the moon differently, but only a select few can conceive of it as an attainable place - a destination. For most, our sights are much more earthbound, which can be an asset and a strength, a sadness and limit, a light for night travel or a view from a window. Seeing the moon is (for me) an opportunity to reflect on the locations and circumstances others are viewing from. Looking at the moon grounds my feet a bit nearer all the locations and peoples of earth.
