17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Far-Reaching

In what follows, I will mention two proverbs that usually use in my culture. The first one called; "Eggplant Bam has no pest" and the second is; "The hand is longer than the foot". The first proverb refers to the product of Bam where it is a special product of my country; also, when we use it to call the person we know that he or she has a stable and powerful personality. On the other hand, the second proverb is used to reveal a condition that people cannot reach their goal and when they fail in their approach. Hence, I used two aspects of them in a picture to demonstrate the aim that can be far from our reaching. I utilized the wide lens to force on the photograph’s subject.
