Faroese horses in the mountains
A pair of stallions climbing on the rocky surface of the Faroe Islands with a cloudy sky. The Faroese horse is a critically endangered horse breed native to the Faroe Islands. There are only 90 horses living on the islands and the locals are fighting hard to conserve the breed, after they almost got extinct in the 1960s when only 5 (!) horses were left.
