Fawn at Hurricane Ridge
I captured this on our first day in Olympic, high in the mountains at Hurricane Ridge. This was one of the strangest and most unique experiences of the trip because the deer had such little regard for the tourists. They had become so accustomed to people that they would get close, sometimes within several feet. At one point, a doe walked towards us and lay in the grass no more than 6 feet away. Needless to say, the photographic opportunities were plentiful.
